School board sets last day of school

The Clayton Ridge Community School Board of Directors met in special session on Wednesday, April 27. Members in attendance were John Heying, Alicia Helle, Mike Finnegan, Kathy Ihde, Christine Aulwes, Jason Reimer and Ellen Johnson.  Also in attendance were Shane Wahls, Andy Peterson, David Schlueter and Mary Seifert.

Board members named the last day of the 2015-16 school year as June 1 with a 2:30 p.m. dismissal and teacher in-service days held on June 2, 3 and 6.  

Superintendent Wahls reported on a Teacher Appreciation Ceremony scheduled for Wednesday, May 4, in the high school gym.

Members discussed changing the June regular meeting due to conflicts. It was determined that the meeting time would be changed from 7 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a work session held before the meeting from 2 - 3:30 p.m.

Carole Mackey was hired for the half-time 8-12 English position. Laurie Smith was transferred to half-time 8-12 special education teacher.

Michelle Fassbinder resigned from her middle school student council position. David Kissick resigned from his high school science position.
