Karen R. White
Karen R. White, 73, of Prairie du Chien, passed away on Monday, Sept. 3, at her home following an extended illness.
She was born Dec. 1, 1944, in Prairie du Chien, the daughter of Vincent and Viola (Muller) Polodna. She married Ronald White on Jan. 5, 1963, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Prairie du Chien. Karen owned and operated a country gift shop, Color Me Country, in McGregor, Iowa. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed birds, her flower gardens and most of all, her treasured grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ron White, of Prairie du Chien; her children, Curt (Brenda) of Mt. Hope, Jeff (Vicki) of Prairie du Chien, Barb (Jon) Bowar of Rice, Minn., and Chris (Tim) Budden, of Platteville; her brothers, Paul (Barb) Polodna, of Arkansas, and Peter Polodna, of Madison; her sister, Joan Henry, of Dodgeville; and her loving grandchildren, Ronnie, Megan, Taylor, Katie, Nicki, Bryce, Bryan, Nate, Ashley, Lexi, Brad and Courtney.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Ann Hexom.
Services are to be announced. The Garrity Funeral Home of Prairie du Chien is assisting the family with arrangements.
