Cindy Koons will step down as MFL MarMac’s business manager at the end of November, after serving in the position for 20 years.
The school board, at its Nov. 11 meeting, accepted Koons’ resignation, as well as her participation in the early separation plan.
“I’ve enjoyed my time very much,” said Koons, who has also served as the board’s secretary and treasurer. “It’s been a privilege and honor to work here.”
The district’s assistant business manager, Karla Hanson, will now step into Koons’ role. The board approved transferring Hanson to the position and appointed her secretary/treasurer of the board.
The school board also approved several other staffing changes at the meeting, including the resignation of Celia Brown from her part-time food service position. MFL MarMac’s head high school volleyball coach, Kelly Winter, and assistant coaches Megan Schellhorn and Tera Mathis tendered their resignations, as well.
