Patricia Faye Dillman, 86, of Cape Coral, Fla., formerly of Prairie du Chien, passed away Friday, June 19, 2020, at home, surrounded by family.

She was born Aug. 1, 1933, in La Crosse, the daughter of Louis and Effie (Pfaff) Hanson.

Patricia graduated from Trempealeau High School in 1951 and attended bookkeeping school. She married Bruce Dillman on May 28, 1955, at the Trempealeau Lutheran Church in Trempealeau. She worked as a bookkeeper for Standard Oil in La Crosse and later in the family businesses: Prairie Sand and Gravel, Dillman Bros. Asphalt, Lancaster Concrete, Bituma-Stor, Dillman Equipment and Diamond Joe Trading. Pat had a giving heart and the gift of hospitality. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school, loved to golf, play cards, paint, read, and buy and sell antiques. Most of all, she loved to be with family and friends on the river, skiing trips to Colorado, the Boat Parade in Florida and dining out with so many of her good friends, especially the Book Club. Bruce and Pat traveled extensively and boated in Alaska, Egypt, Greece and New Zealand. After Bruce’s passing, Pat enjoyed traveling with her good friend, June. She was a member of Eagle 1502 Auxillary and a Sny Magill University alumni.

She is survived by her son, Brian (Jean Ann) Dillman of Prairie du Chien; her daughter, Christine Dillman-Kolb of Jupiter, Fla.; four grandchildren, Jonathan Herman, Faith Dillman, Angela and Amber Kolb; her sisters-in-law, Vivian Hanson and Darlene Hanson; her brother-in-law, Blair Dillman; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bruce; her parents; brothers, Bob Hanson and Jerry Hanson; sisters, Janice Meckvold and Margie Ruesgen; and son-in-law, John Kolb.

A Memorial Service will be Friday, June 26, at 2 p.m. at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel, Deacon Pat Malanaphy officiating with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery, both in Prairie du Chien. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Prairie du Chien Public Library and the McGregor Historical Society.
