Two Prairie du Chien restaurants have temporarily closed after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

The Barn Restaurant and Winneshiek Bar and Grill have both closed, according to a Facebook post from Manager Drew Hager. The post states that a server helping with a benefit July 18 at The Barn tested positive.

“We will take this time to do some deep cleaning at The Barn and Winnie and some additional training for our staff on how to deal with health and safety at this time,” Hager said. “Also we will be implementing that employees at The Barn and Winnie will be required to wear masks at work.”

Hager said he hopes to reopen both businesses by Tuesday, Aug. 4.
