Hospital transport following accident

On Saturday, Sept. 19, at 11:01 a.m., the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department was notified of a motorcycle accident on County Road C just east of Norwegian Hollow Road in the village of Soldiers Grove.

Randal D. Steger, 69, Racine, was traveling east on County C negotiating a sharp curve in the roadway on a 2018 Harley Davidson motorcycle. The Steger cycle tipped onto its left side and slid onto the right shoulder of the roadway and came to rest. 

Steger was transported to Vernon Memorial Hospital in Viroqua by North Crawford Rescue to be checked for possible injuries sustained in the accident. 

The accident remains under investigation. 

Assisting at the scene were the Soldiers Grove Fire Department, North Crawford Rescue and Sleepy Hollow Auto/Towing of Viroqua.
