Wallace A. Brown, 76, of Prairie du Chien and formerly of Milton, passed away on Wednesday Sept. 16, 2020, at Lancaster Health Services in Lancaster.

He was born on Oct. 21, 1943, in Stoughton, the son of Norman and Helen (Staley) Brown. Wallace attended Milton Union High School. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1964 to 1967. He married Ruth White on Oct. 6, 1973, in Mt. Hope. He was a member of the American Legion and the Lions Club. Wallace worked for General Motors, Kipp Dairy Equipment, and U.W. Stores in Madison. Wallace had a special love for his dogs.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Ruth; his brothers, Mike (Susie), Jerry (Laura) and Brian (Mary Lou); his sisters, Norma Botma, Karen (Jackie) Sachs, Jeanne and Jackie Brown; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister, Pamela; and a brother-in-law Eaba Botma.

A Memorial Service will be Thursday, Sept. 24, at 11 a.m. at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Miranda Klosterboer officiating, burial in Calvary Cemetery, both in Prairie du Chien. Military honors will be accorded graveside by the Prairie du Chien Honor Guard. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. The Garrity Funeral Home is assisting the family.
