According to figures from public health officials as of Sunday, Oct. 25, Clayton County was reporting 108 active COVID-19 cases. There were 415 confirmed cases since the pandemic began, an increase of 104 over the previous week, with 307 recoveries.

In response to the increase in numbers, the medical community  at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital & Clinics issued the following news release via spokesperson Amy Speed, director of marketing and development:

"With the recent outbreak of COVID-19 in our community, Guttenberg Municipal Hospital & Clinics is experiencing high patient volume.

"Adjustments in our operations routine may be necessary as we use extra resources to manage patient volume as best we can. This includes potential hours of operations adjustments at our family practice clinics.

"We urge you to partner with us in keeping our community safe: wear a mask, social distance, wash hands, and isolate yourself if you are not feeling well."
