Senior Matt Rogge uses an "Auggie" ride against his Richland Center opponent. Rogge would deck his opponent with a first period fall.

On Friday night, the #6 D2 ranked Blackhawk wrestling team hosted an SWC Quad in the Fieldhouse. The Blackhawks, at 1-0 in the conference, were looking to secure at worst a share of the conference title.

In the opening dual, the Hawks squared off with Richland Center. It would be a total mismatch as the Hawk grapplers dismantled the Hornets by a score of 65-12.

Matt Rogge and Mason Baumgartner ignited the crowd with pins and Rhett Koenig secured a 19-3 technical fall to lead the Blackhawks.

In match two, PDC would tangle with River Valley. This match would also be very one-sided, with PDC winning big 57-19. Getting pins for PDC were Jayden Johnson, Ryder Koenig, Maddox Cejka, Cole Halverson, and Chase Fisher.

In match three, PDC would battle with Lancaster, who on paper, was the other contender for the SWC title. However, the Hawks would prove to be too much and pick up a big 50-21 win.

Leading the way with pins for the Hawks were Ryder Koenig, Rhett Koenig, Kurt Wall, Matt Rogge, and Bradyn Saint.

Several grapplers went 3-0 on the night (Mason Baumgartner, Ryder Koenig, Rhett Koenig, Cole Halverson, Matt Rogge, Bradyn Saint, and Jayden Johnson). The three wins moved the Hawks to 4-0 in conference with a date with Belmont/Platteville remaining.

The next action for the Hawks will be a quadrangular hosted by Iowa-Grant on Friday evening at 5:30. Darlington and Belmont/Platteville will also be in attendance.
