For the students, seeing high school teacher Adam Simon shaved was the highlight of the assembly. Senior Dusty Berns, one of two students to donate $500 to the cause, received the honors. According to Simon, this marks the first time in seven years he will be clean shaven. And that wasn’t even the longest stretch. It had been 11 years for Wilke, 14 for Moon and 24 for Goodman. Anderson hadn’t been clean shaven since football season.

MFL MarMac business teacher Curtis Goodman performed the song “Shaun Strong,” a collaboration between himself and physical education teacher Pat Wille, at the March 1 Pops Concert. The lyrics were written by Wille, and Goodman put them to music. (Photo by Audrey Posten)

On Feb. 11, the MFL MarMac Middle School held a Dance Marathon in support of Shaun Mohs, where students and staff completed fun challenges and shared them on social media after reaching fundraising milestones on a special Go Fund Me Page. Organized by the middle student council, or Stu Crew, the event raised over $1,300 between Go Fund Me and contributions at the dance itself, far surpassing the $600 goal. (Submitted photo)
