Dawn Delite Lange, 54, of Edgewood, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. She was born on July 22, 1961, in Elkader, the daughter of Valdean and Patricia (Kuehl) Lange. Dawn was raised and educated in the area, and was a 1979 Central Community High School graduate.

After graduation Dawn worked for the Elkader Care Center for 20-plus years, many as a CNA.  She also worked as a bartender at various local bars and restaurants, and drove the van for Northern Iowa Community Action. On December 1, 1984, Dawn was united in marriage to Richard Clinton. They later divorced.

Dawn enjoyed playing card games, having fun with family and friends, canning, and cooking.

Survivors include her mother, Patricia Lange of Elkader; and three siblings, Debbie (Jon) Sylvester and Kent (Sherri) Lange, all of Elkader, and Kurt (Susan) Lange of Asbury.

Dawn was preceded in death by her father, Valdean in 1999.

A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2015, at Peace United Church of Christ in Elkader, Iowa. Inurnment followed at Cass Township Cemetery in Strawberry Point, Iowa There was a visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday, October 2, 2015, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home  in Edgewood, Iowa.
