Opal Neoma Wright, 101, of Strawberry Point, died Friday, October 9, 2015, at Central Community Hospital in Elkader. She was born July 31, 1914, in rural Elkport, to Frank and Maggie (Noggle) Ortmann. Opal received her education in the Elkport School.

She was united in marriage to Donald Resor in September, 1931.  Later, she married Clarence Wright.

Opal enjoyed crafting, gardening, reading and exercising. She worked at Goodrich in Strawberry Point for several years.

Survivors include four children, Phyllis Krull of Lincoln, NE, Patricia (J.P.) Kellogg of Strawberry Point, Dale Resor of Toledo, Gale (Jean) Resor of Masonville; two step-children, Edward (Deborah) Wright of Portsmouth, VA, Michael (Sue) Wright of Morton, IL; one step-daughter-in-law, Orvella Wright of Jefferson City, MO and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence; two sisters, Mildred and Velma; one brother, Eugene; one son-in-law, Gerald Krull; three daughters-in-law, Betty Resor, Elaine Wright, Connie Wright and one step-son, Bob Wright.

A private family graveside memorial service will take place at a later date at the Mederville Cemetry, Mederville, Iowa.
