Shullsburg spoiled River Ridge’s Homecoming 51-13 in a Six Rivers football game Friday night in Bloomington.
The Miners scored 22 points in the first quarter, including a 3-yard touchdown run, a 7-yard TD pass and 2-point play, and a 27-yard TD run and 2-point run to take a 22-0 lead.
Shullsburg scored on a 4-yard run and 2-point pass, a 25-yard pass and PAT, and a 14-yard run and 2-point run in the second period to increase the margin to 45-0 at the half.
Brett Moravits scored on a 24-yard run and Tyler Millin had a 2-yard TD run with Kaine Bause making the extra point to pull River Ridge within 45-13 after three quarters.
Shullsburg scored one more time on a 27-yard pass in the fourth period to make the final score 51-13.
River Ridge will next host Pecatonica-Argyle on Sept. 30.
