Douglas Kuehl
Dr. Douglas Roland Kuehl, age 52 of Borcay, Philippines, died August 13, 2018 at Cebu, Philippines in a drowning accident.
Doug was born February 5, 1966, in Prarie du Chien, WI to Verna Marie (Lantz) Kuehl and Richard Roland Kuehl. Doug was a 1984 graduate of Central Community High School. After graduation, Doug enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he earned the rank of corporal.
After serving his country, Doug enrolled at Palmer College of Chiropractic where he earned a doctor of chiropractic degree with honors. He moved to Henderson, NV and built a successful chiropractic practice there.
Doug enjoyed spending time on Lake Mead wake boarding and snow skiing in Park City, Utah and riding ATVs in the desert.
In 1997, Doug married DeAnna Kope, They were married for seven years.
Doug became a father to Kyle Ryan Macaraeg on August 12, 2005. Doug found great joy in being a father. In 2012, Doug closed his practice and retired to the Philippines where he met Judith Paragele Great. Together they had a daughter, Skyler.
During his retirement, Doug invested in a hotel and enjoyed greeting guests and making improvements to the business.
Doug is survived by his significant other, Judith Great; children, Kyle and Skyler; mother, Verna Kuehl; siblings, Suzanne (Michael) Kaprich and Bart Kuehl; nephew, Mason Kaprich; niece, Madeline Kaprich; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, his father Richard, two brothers, Richard Lee and Mark.
