Three kayaks stolen

On Saturday, July 17, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department initially investigated the theft of three kayaks from an island approximately 1/8th of a mile north of the Winneshiek Boat Landing located at 65934 State Highway 82 in the township of Freeman. 

The three kayaks were described as being red, green, and purple and were removed from the island on Saturday, July 17 between the hours of 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.  

The Crawford County Crime Stoppers urges anyone having information about this or any other crimes to call 326-8933 or 1-866-779-PAYS. Anyone calling either of these numbers with a Crime Stoppers tip will remain anonymous and a reward of up to $1,000 will be paid for a tip which solves a crime with an arrest, charges being filed and/or recovery of stolen property.
