The Prairie du Chien cross country team hosted Platteville and Seneca in a fun and unusual event at La Riviere Park Thursday afternoon for Parents’ Night and Senior Night at the Prairie du Chien Invitational.

The event featured runners from different schools teaming up with each other on three-person relay teams. The lead runner for each team would run the full course and then hand the baton to the next runner for their team, and so on.

The event was a fun way to promote friendship and camaraderie among all runners. It also allowed for runners to sport hats, bright, florescent shirts, face and body paint, and, in at least one case, a camouflage outfit.

All runners and teams ran a spirited race, got to know one another and had a great time, as did the parents and fans.
