Theresa Lynn Henkes, 48, of Guttenberg, formerly of Monona, died Monday, Dec. 20, 2021, at Guttenberg Hospital in Guttenberg. Theresa Lynn, known as “T” to family and friends, was born Oct. 12, 1973, to James and Mary Lou (Huinker) Henkes in Postville. She attended MFL Grade School and Garnavillo Public School.

While growing up on the family farm, she enjoyed pulling her wagon to pick up apples from the orchard and then tossing them to the pigs, tractor and combine rides, as well as 4-wheeler rides, if she could persuade one of her brothers to chauffeur her and the family dog Molly around.

Theresa enjoyed listening to Randy Travis while occasionally singing along with favorite white bear named Pammy at her side. In addition to making sure Pammy heard the songs, she would usually make sure it was loud enough for everyone else to enjoy as well.

Theresa also enjoyed Pepsi, chocolate cake, an occasional lunch at Lakeside Ballroom and the Stadium in Guttenberg, clipping coupons and sorting greeting cards.

Later in life, Theresa moved to Imagine the Possibilities living center in Guttenberg and visited her parents often.

Pleasant, Andrew (Jessica) Henkes of Monona, Jonathon Henkes of Germantown, Ohio, and Michael (Laura Chappell) Henkes of Monona; and 15 nieces and nephews, Emma, Ethan, Evan, Taylor, Kayla, Kaden, Morgan, Lizzie, Taylor, Ambryss, Emberly, Madalynn, Jenna, Pierce and Brooklynn.
