Bulldog boys golf team now 6-0

Wins over Turkey Valley and North Fayette Valley last week upped the MFL MarMac boys golf team to a perfect 6-0.
The Bulldogs earned a convincing 181-251 total against the Trojans on April 25. Joe Grau and Nick Krambeer were the meet medalist and runner up with respective scores of 38 and 44. Grau’s 38 was a season nine-hole low for himself and the team.
Sawyer Keehner’s 48 and Quinn McGeough’s 51 made up the remainder of the varsity score.
Ben Krambeer also played well, with a 45, followed by 50s from Jonah Wille, Jaron Wille and Austin Schlee. Cullen McShane shot a 53, Gabe McGeough a 54, Austin Trappe a 61 and Nolan Lerch a 66.
Turkey Valley’s best score was a 55.
The April 28 home meet against NFV was considerably tighter, with the Bulldogs claiming a 162-173 advantage.
Grau shot another 38, and was the meet medalist, while a season best 40 from Ben Krambeer made him the runner up.
TigerHawk Clay Moser tied MFL MarMac’s Nick Krambeer for third place with a 41, and NFV’s Nicholas Koch shot a 42 to place fourth.
Quinn McGeough finished with a 43 for the Bulldogs, and Keehner came in at 46, Jonah Wille at 48 and Gabe McGeough at 49. Bryce Radloff and Lerch shot a season best 50 and 51, respectively, while Kyle Tilson wrapped the meet with a 53, Jaxton Schroeder a 58 and Trappe a 59. Schlee shot a 64 and Jaron Wille a 67.
The Bulldogs will next host South Winneshiek on May 2, before testing themselves in a triangular at Jesup on May 3. The team will conclude the week with a May 5 home match-up against Postville.
