Lee Allen Horstman, 73, of Guttenberg, passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023. 

Visitation was Thursday, Jan. 19, at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg and before services at the church.

Funeral services were Friday, Jan. 20, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Guttenberg, conducted by Rev. Michael Ashman.

Interment was at Guttenberg City Cemetery.

Lee was born on April 24, 1949, the son of Eugene and Hilda (Paulsen) Horstman. 

Lee attended and graduated from Guttenberg High School with the class of 1968. After high school, Lee worked for Hilton Homes until he took a custodial job at the Guttenberg School where he worked for over 37 years until his retirement. Lee was a very proud supporter of the Guttenberg Pirates and Clayton Ridge Eagles. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan and he thoroughly enjoyed sitting in the park watching the traffic on the Mississippi River. 

Lee is survived by his sister, Twila (David) Wubben of Mason City; brother, David (Shirley) Horstman of East Dubuque; nieces and nephews, Cassandra Covotsos, Kayla Cox, Michael, Scott and Kati Wubben; great nieces and nephews, Skylar, Willow, Aleeya, Ryleigh, Kinsley, Derek, Declan, Huxton, Brekyn and Zander, and many more family and friends. 

Lee was preceded in death by his parents.
