Police calls for service were up in Monona in 2022, according to Monona Police Chief Jo Amsden, who shared the department’s annual report at the Jan. 16 city council meeting.

“We had an increase of 444 calls from the previous year,” Amsden said. 2022 numbers were at 3,418 compared to 2,974 in 2021.
