Judith Elaine Oelke, 83, of Monona, passed away Monday, April 3, 2023, at Great River Care Center in McGregor. Judith was born Dec. 18, 1939 to Roy and Marvelyn Grove.

 

On April 4, 1959, Judith was united in marriage to Gaylord Delano Oelke. One son was born to this union. Judith excelled as a teacher at MFL MarMac. 

 

Judith is survived by her son, Christopher Oelke (Christina); grandchildren, Austin, Dylan, Cierra and Christopher Delano; great-grandchildren, Alayla Judith, Macey Lynn, River Matthew, Matthew Lee, Melanie Rose and Nova August; sister-in-law, Jacki (Alan) Butterfield; and many nieces and nephews.

 

Judith was preceded in death by her husband Gaylord Oelke on March 11, 2018; father and mother, Roy and Marvelyn Grove; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Margaret Grove; great-granddaughter, Saige Leigh; and in-laws, Gaylord and Iva Oelke.

 

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 21, at Leonard-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Monona. There will also be a one-hour visitation before services at the church on Saturday.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, at Forest Mills United Methodist Church, rural Postville, with Rev. Kim Gates as the officiant.

 

Leonard-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Monona, is helping the family with arrangements.
