The Flansburgh Family of Alan & Kathy, Derek, Dustin and wife Emily, Dylan and wife Jessica, Devin and wife Morgan and their son, Liam, Dalton & Jordyn welcome you to Green Valley Farm and hope that you will enjoy the 41st annual “on the farm” June Dairy month breakfast. Robert and Anna Flansburgh moved to this farm in 1942. They rented the farm known as the Duffey Farm, then purchased it a few years later. Paul & Matilda Flansburgh purchased the farm from his parents in 1965. They hosted the 2nd annual dairy breakfast in 1982. They volunteered at many of the dairy breakfasts over the years. When their son Alan married, he and his wife Kathy took over the family farm and purchased it from Paul and Matilda in 1998. Alan and Kathy also hosted the 1998 and 2018 dairy breakfasts.
In September of 2022 they changed from a milking parlor to Robotic milking. They are currently milking 120 cows. The farming operation consists of 350 owned acres plus they run an additional 600 acres.
Crops include 450 acres of corn, 250 acres of soybeans, and 250 acres of hay. All steers are raised to 800 lbs. and all heifers are raised. Their sons Devin & Dalton have played an important roll in advancing the farm’s use of technology. The entire family works together to make the farm business a success.
Come enjoy breakfast on the farm with us.
