In a non-conference battle between the Viroqua Blackhawks and the Prairie du Chien Blackhawks boys basketball teams on Monday night, it was all Viroqua Blackhawks as they lead wire-to-wire in defeating the Prairie Blackhawks 59-48.

Viroqua took a 33-20 lead into halftime before pushing their lead in the second half to as much as 17 points before Prairie managed to bring the score as close as 11 points late.

Viroqua improved to 2-2 overall with the win, while  PdC fell to 0-1. Following their conference opener at Lancaster on Friday, Dec. 8, the Hawks travel to Mineral Point to take on the Pointers, the third ranked team in Division Four on Saturday, Dec. 9. Game time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
