The Class 1A - District 3 all-district football teams include 15 MFL MarMac players. Eight Bulldogs—Quinn McGeough, Ben Krambeer, Will Howes, Averey Thornton, Parker Kuehl, Austin Schaller, Brayden Gordon and Eli Hanson—were first team selections. Aiden Schoulte, Keith Anderson, Carter Stoddard, Hunter Christofferson and Brock Hackett were named to the second team, while Kade Humble and Koda Warrington were honorable mention picks.

 

McGeough, a senior, was MFL MarMac’s top rushing threat. He racked up 1,446 yards—which was third most in Class 1A—on 197 carries and scored 14 touchdowns. He also caught four passes for 29 yards and returned eight kicks for 121 yards. McGeough’s 1,702 all-purpose yards ranked him fourth in Class 1A. 

 

Defensively, McGeough tied for fourth among Bulldog players with 41.5 tackles, including 27 solo efforts. He snagged two interceptions, returning one for a touchdown.

 

Krambeer, the district’s special teams MVP, made four of his eight field goal attempts this season, tying for the most field goals made in Class 1A and topping the stat sheet in attempts. The senior’s 50 percent field goal percentage tied for third best in Class 1A, and a 43-yard field goal was the third longest among Class 1A kickers. Additionally, Krambeer hit 22 of 25 point after attempts and made 44 kickoffs, 17 of which were touchbacks. That number was second most in Class 1A. Krambeer also completed 14 punts for a total of 487 yards.

 

Howes, a junior, and Thornton, a senior, were part of an experienced MFL MarMac offensive line that paved the way for 2,918 total rushing yards, including 6.8 yards per carry. The line also allowed quarterbacks to throw for 538 yards.

 

Senior Kuehl was the ultimate utility player for the Bulldogs, amassing 222 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 35 carries, along with 241 receiving yards and a touchdown on 12 catches. He was not only MFL MarMac’s top receiver, but the best kick returner, snagging 11 kicks for 337 total yards—a 30.6-yard average per return. On defense, Kuehl tallied 31.5 tackles, including 24 solo tackles, and also recovered a fumble.

 

Schaller led the MFL MarMac defense with 48.5 total tackles, including 31 solo efforts and 10.5 for loss. As a senior defensive lineman, his four sacks were also the most on the team.

 

Hanson, a junior defensive back, tied for fourth among Bulldog players with 41.5 tackles. Thirty-one of those were solo tackles, and he had 2.5 for loss, as well as a pair of interceptions. Offensively, Hanson ranked second on the team with 666 rushing yards on 98 carries and caught 10 passes for 111 yards. He scored six touchdowns.

 

Anderson and Stoddard were both senior linebackers. Anderson’s 43 total tackles were third most on the team. Twenty-two were solo efforts and three for a loss. He also had a sack and recovered a fumble. Stoddard totaled 33 tackles, 20 of which were solo, and scooped up a fumble.

 

As a senior defensive lineman, Gordon recorded 30 tackles, with 18 of them solo and four for a loss. His three sacks were second most among MFL MarMac players.

 

Christofferson, a junior, joined Gordon on the defensive line. He totaled 8.5 tackles, four of which were solo, and had one and a half sacks.

 

Hackett was another utility player for the Bulldogs, putting up 20 carries for 168 yards and a touchdown as one of the team’s many rushing threats. He also caught five passes for 69 yards and returned six punts for 57 yards. Defensively, Hackett earned the second most tackles, at 46.5. Twenty-nine were solo tackles and six for a loss. He finished the season with one interception.

 

Like Howes and Thornton, Schoulte and Humble were key parts of MFL MarMac’s offensive line. Schoulte has been a four-year varsity player and Humble, also a senior, proved himself in a starting role this year.

 

As a junior defensive back, Warrington netted 26 tackles—22 of them solo—and had one of the team’s six interceptions.
