Rebecca M. “Becky” Johnson, age 71, of Eastman, Wis., passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025, at Crossing Rivers Health in Prairie du Chien. She was born on Oct. 12, 1953, in Story County to Norman and Norma (Baldus) Clouser. 

 

Becky was united in marriage to Randy Johnson on April 8, 1972. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother always putting her family first. 

 

Becky served others selflessly, operating the Little Switzerland Inn and Sadie’s Sweet Shop in McGregor for 20 years. She is well known for her hospitality and kindness, where you would enter her establishment as a stranger and leave as a friend. In addition to running her own business, she touched the lives of so many, volunteering with the McGregor Marquette Chamber of Commerce and Friends Helping Friends, as well as working at the nursing home in McGregor, the hospital in Prairie du Chien and the Villa Louis.

 

She is survived by her husband Randy; daughters Jenny Stollenwerk (Jason Stollenwerk) and Casey Johnson (Carl Ruff); grandchildren Ty Johnson, Hayden Mielke, Audrey Ruff, Cheyenne Ruff, Hattie Ruff, Ryder Stollenwerk, Annelie Stollenwerk and Hans Stollenwerk; siblings Rod Clouser, Lisa Decena and Steve Clouser; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother David.

 

A memorial service was Feb. 24, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville, Rev. Lynn Noel officiating, with inurnment at a later date. Friends called at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien on Feb. 23. www.garrityfuneralhome.com
