Bulldog boys earn first win for soccer program

The MFL MarMac boys soccer team defeated West Delaware 3-0 on April 3, picking up the first win of the 2025 season—and the first win for the program since it was established a year ago.
The Bulldogs netted one goal in the first half and two in the second. Parker Kuehl and Carter Lightfoot each connected for one goal on four shots. Bryce Jones was successful on one of his two shots on goal. Lightfoot and Brent Roe each earned an assist.
MFL MarMac took 13 shots on goal, keeping Hawks keeper Garrett Taylor off balance throughout the match.
Carsten Pester collected one save in his first game in goal for the Bulldogs.
MFL MarMac had three games scheduled this week, starting with home games versus Marquette Catholic and Northeast Iowa United on April 7 and 8. The team will head to Bellevue on April 11.
