North Fayette Valley proved too much for the MFL MarMac girls and boys soccer teams during a pair of varsity games on April 14.
The Lady TigerHawks bested the Bulldogs 7-0, opening the match with four goals, then tacking on three more in the second half.
NFV took 24 shots on goal throughout the night, with two goals each from Brielle Starkweather and Macy Rose. Keeper Peyton McElree stopped seven MFL MarMac goal attempts.
The Bulldog boys didn’t fare better, losing 9-0 to the TigerHawks after allowing three goals in the opening half and six in the second.
NFV posted 26 shots on goal and had two players—Kyler White and Lincoln Aeschliman—with three goals apiece. Goalie Damian Harnish recorded just one save against MFL MarMac.
The losses dropped the Bulldog girls to 0-6 and boys to 3-2. Both teams had only one game this week, versus Clayton Ridge on April 21.
