Bulldog girls wrap up track and field season

Isla Henkes was MFL MarMac's top finisher in both the discus and shot put at the district meet.

The MFL MarMac girls track and field team concluded its season May 15, at the Class 2A district meet at Crestwood.

 

Freshman Addison Corlett had some of the best finishes for the Bulldogs, with sixth in the 100-meter dash and ninth in the 200. Teammates Annaka McArthur and Amelia Duffield were 17th and 20th in those respective events. Additionally, Corlett placed 17th in the 100-meter hurdles.

 

Other running results had Duffield 18th in the 400, while Charlotte Meyer crossed the line 10th in the 1500. The Bulldogs were 11th in both the sprint medley and 4x200 relays. Corlett, McArthur, Lauryn Sandstrom and Meyer represented the team in the first relay, then Sandstrom, Meyer, Lucille Kessler and Isla Henkes made up the latter.

 

In the field events, Henkes was MFL MarMac’s top finisher in both the shot put and discus, at 16th and 17th. Brooklyn Tonn threw her way to 17th in the shot put and 19th in the discus.
