Looking to build off their first win of the season the previous Friday night against Weston, the Wauzeka-Steuben Hornets boys basketball team traveled to Patch Grove last Monday, Dec. 15 to face River Ridge in non-conference action.

Unfortunately for the Hornets, it was all Timberwolves as River Ridge handed Wauzeka-Steuben a 77-37 defeat. Stats from this game were not available as of press time. The Timberwolves improved their season record to 2-3 with the win, while the Hornets fell to 1-3. The Hornets scheduled game at Ithaca last Thursday was postponed due to weather and rescheduled for January 12.

The Hornets are now off until after the new year when they return to competition with a conference game on Tuesday, Jan. 6 at Kickapoo High School at 7:15 p.m before heading to Seneca three nights later on the ninth of Jan.
