Amazing Grace has called Dad home. James Allyn Walter was born on March 28, 1939 to Glen and Emma (Huckstadt) Walter at the Postville Hospital. He was baptized on May 7, 1939 and confirmed in 1953 at St. John Lutheran Church in Farmersburg. He attended grade school at the Eno school just north of his home farm. He finished high school in ‘57 at Luana, where he played basketball and baseball. He took over the farm at a very early age.

Author and psychic Adrian Lee and The International Paranormal Society will lead paranormal investigations in McGregor in late July. In partnership with the McGregor Historical Society, the findings will be developed into a haunted walking tour, short book and television episode. (Submitted photo)
The team hopes to investigate and film at least eight or nine buildings—with three to four investigations per day—over one weekend in McGregor.
