David A. Hart

David Arnot Hart, a genuine, sweet soul, died Nov. 3, 2023, at the age of 71. He was born Feb. 9, 1952, in Oklahoma City, Okla., to John K. Hart Sr. and Wilda (Arnot) Hart. The family moved to Illinois in the 1950s and David spent most of his youth in Arlington Heights, Ill. Many summers and holidays were spent on his grandparents’ farm in Missouri, where he learned to appreciate the slower country life away from the big city. He and his older brother, John, loved to go “frog gigging” with their grandfather at the farm. We could have imagined he’d later train to be a professional chef after all the frog legs he captured in his younger years.
