Pictured is the damage inside the garage at the Rentschler home in St. Olaf after an Oct. 26 fire. There were no injuries and the cause is still undetermined. Thea Rentschler, who was home with her son at the time of the fire, shared gratitude for the first responders, neighbors and community members who have supported her family.
Philip “Phil” Roland Barrette, 89, of Prairie du Chien, Wis., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025, at Prairie Maison in Prairie du Chien, Wis. Philip Roland Barrette was born Dec. 22, 1935, to Roland and Emma Barrette in Prairie du Chien.
