Kent Dean Klingman, 61, of Volga, passed away Monday, Oct. 27, 2025, at MercyOne in Waterloo. He was born Aug. 2, 1964, in Vinton, to Lyle and Karon (Buhr) Klingman.
Micah Gearhart, his wife Alyssa and their four kids “fell in love” with living in northeast Iowa when he began at North Fayette Valley 11 years ago. The Central volleyball team ended its season against Turkey Valley in a Class 1A - Region 2 first round playoff match-up on Oct. 20. The Warriors came out strong, winning set one 25-17. However, they lost the next three sets with scores of 14-25, 14-25 and 17-25.
