Donna M. (Yardley) Lemon

Donna M. (Yardley) Lemon, 94, was born at home in Elkader, on Dec. 6, 1929, the youngest of four children in the Susan and Aloysius Losch family. At the age of 11, she moved to California with her mother to join other family members. She graduated from Mercy High School in Burlingame in 1947 and began work as a bookkeeper for several family businesses. During those early years, she spent a lot of time doting on her young niece and nephews.

Cyril D. ‘Zeke’ DesRocher

Cyril D. “Zeke” DesRocher, age 89, of Prairie du Chien, Wis., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2024, at Benedictine Manor in La Crosse, Wis. He was born in Prairie du Chien on Feb. 25, 1935, the son of Filbert and Marie (DuCharme) DesRocher. After high school he enlisted and served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Alaska during the Korean War performing communication duties. Following his service, Zeke attended UW-Platteville, graduating with a teaching degree. He began his teaching career in Sun Prairie and also bartended at Ishnala in the Wisconsin Dells during the summer months. He returned to Prairie du Chien and taught at both the high school and junior high.

Harold R. McMillin

Harold Robert McMillin, Jr., 78, of Guttenberg, son of Harold Sr. and Marie (Carlson) McMillin was born March 28, 1945, in McGregor. Harold passed away unexpectedly on March 2, 2024. He faced many health challenges in his life and fought each one with resilience and courage.
