Dianne M. Goodman, age 81 of Prairie du Chien passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at Prairie Maison in Prairie du Chien.

She was born on May 3, 1945, to Leonard and Leona (Becwar) Forst.

She attended St. John’s Catholic School and later graduated from Prairie du Chien High School with the class of 1963.

She married Ronald Goodman and together they raised their children in Prairie du Chien. Dianne worked as a teacher’s aide for 36 years at both B.A. Kennedy and Bluffview Intermediate Schools.

She loved baking, crafting, and craft shows. Above all, she loved her family dearly.

She is survived by her husband Ronald; children Lynn (Steven) Smilie and Kevin (Shannon) Goodman; sister Marilyn (John) Piechowski; grandchildren Brianna Goodman and Ashley (Collin) Wachter; great-grandchildren Carsyn and Liam; step-grandchildren Rianne, Megan, and Logan; step great-grandchildren Roland and Flynn; sisters-in-law Kathy (Roger) Mahan, Kathy Goodman, Kay Forst, and Teresa Forst; brother-in-law Randy Goodman; and numerous nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Gerald, Francis, Roger, and Dennis Forst; sister Norita Hollar; brothers-in-law John Hollar, Larry, Roger, Jim, Greg, and Bob Goodman, and Keith Werger; and sisters-in-law Carla Werger and Edna Forst.  

Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, June 12, at 11 a.m. at St. Gabriel’s Church of the Holy Family Parish, Msgr. Roger Scheckel officiating with interment in the Calvary Cemetery, both in Prairie du Chien.
