Julie A. Redman, age 56 of Prairie du Chien, passed away surrounded by her family, on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse.

She was born on April 4, 1970, to David and Mary (Morgan) Redman. She graduated from Prairie du Chien High School with the class of 1988. She then attended Capri College in Dubuque, Iowa, where she learned cosmetology.

After school, she began her own beautician practice and operated a salon in Prairie du Chien for several years. Julie was a talented beautician who loved her practice and loyal clientele. She loved spending time with family, playing cards, and watching movies – particularly the movie Frozen. She will be deeply missed by her mother, Mary; sister Jayne (Beau Herbst) Sherer; niece Sara Sherer and nephew Jacob Sherer; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father David Redman; sister Jody Henkes, brother-in-law Dwain Henkes, and nephews Austin and Aren Henkes.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, October 6, at 11:30 a.m. at St. John Church, Fr. Sudhakar Reddy Devarapu officiated, with interment at a later date in the Union Nagle Cemetery, both in Patch Grove.
