Paul Roberts
May 6, 1972 - July 20, 2026

Paul J. Roberts, 54, passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 20, in La Crosse, Wisconsin from complications during a heart surgery. Paul grew up throughout the southwest region of Wisconsin making many friends and memories along the way, but he always held a special place in his heart for the small towns of Soldiers Grove, Gays Mills, and Seneca.

Many will remember him as an avid outdoorsman. Some of his fondest memories were not only his own successful fishing and hunting trips, but his children’s growing interest and success in these activities as well.

Throughout his life, he touched the hearts of those around him. It didn’t matter if he was close to home or hours away, Paul would have a friend in every room he entered. His ability to tell stories, make light hearted conversations, find great songs on the jukebox, and have a fun time lead him to create long-lasting friendships.

During his younger years, he was widely known throughout the area for his dedication to logging. He took great pride in his work despite how physically demanding it was. Eventually, Paul retired from his logging career and with his family began to operate a small dairy farm.  His oldest son found his calling at this time and continues to operate a dairy farm north of La Crosse, WI.

Paul is survived by his mother, Kay (Corey) Jones; his fathers, Bruce Cornwell and Randy Roberts; children: Hunter (Rebecca) Roberts, Cassidy (Zachary) Ready, Hogan Roberts, and Brooklyn Roberts; brother Jerry Roberts; half siblings: Isis (Gary) Wynos, Oscar Cornwell, Bruce (Amy) Cornwell, Connie (Jesse) Higgins, Rhonda (Travis) Washburn, and Rachel Roberts. Paul is also survived by his grandparents who were some of the most inspirational people in his eyes when it came to creating the foundation of a successful life, Paul and Pat Wallin. Paul is survived by multiple grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins as well.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026, at Community of Christ Church at noon with Pastor Barbara Duke officiating.  A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service.
