The Prairie du Chien/Seneca/Wauzeka-Steuben/Youth Initiative boys soccer team faced another tough week schedule last week with a pair of conference matches and a quadrangular to end the week.

First up for PdC was a home match against the Richland Center Hornets last Tuesday, Sept. 22. The Hawks got goals from Landon Smith and Adrian Morales-Fuerte to help defeat the Hornets by the score of 2 to 1. October Bartelt had an assist in the win.

The Hawks traveled to River Valley two days later and were handed a 2-1 defeat by the host Blackhawks. No other stats from the loss were available at press time.

PdC/Seneca/Wauzeka-Steuben/Youth Initiative ended the week with a quadrangular at Richland Center this past Saturday, Sept. 26 that also featured Madison Country Day/Abundant Life/St. Ambrose Academy and Wisconsin Dells.

The Hawks faced off against Wisconsin in one match. The Chiefs held a 2-0 lead at halftime before two more goals in the second half to claim a 4-0 win over the Hawks. Prairie du Chien also faced off against the host Hornets, taking a 2-0 lead early in the second half before Richland Center found the answer with two quick goals to make the score 2-2, which would go on to be the final score. Final stats from both games were not available as of press time.

PdC (4-4-2) was back on the road this past Tuesday when they traveled to Dodgeville/Mineral Point before ending the week with a pair of road non-conference matches. The Hawks head to West Salem on Friday night to take on the Coulee Christian/Providence Academy co-op at 5:00 p.m. before heading to La Crosse Logan the next morning with game time scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
