The Prairie du Chien/Seneca/Wauzeka-Steuben/Youth Initiative boys soccer team faced a tough schedule last week when they hosted a pair of games against Platteville/Lancaster and Wisconsin Heights/Barneveld.

First up for the Hawks last Tuesday, Sept. 15 was a visit by conference rival Platteville/Lancaster. The Hillmen jumped out to a 3-1 lead in the first half before adding three more goals in the second half as they pulled away for the 6-1 win. Sophomore midfielder Ephraem Carns-Hilliker had the lone goal for the Hawks in the loss.

The Wisconsin Heights/Barneveld co-op made the trip to Prairie du Chien two nights later and got three first half goals to take a 3-0 lead after one half of play. The Vanguards (currently ranked seventh in D4 by the WSCA) would go on to put five more goals on the scoreboard in the second half as they handed the Hawks a 8-0 defeat.

PdC (3-3-1) was back on the home pitch last night vs. Richland Center before heading to River Valley tomorrow night and then to Richland Center on Saturday for a quadrangular starting at 9:00 a.m. that also features Wisconsin Dells and the Madison Country Day/Abundant Life/St. Ambrose Academy tri-op.
