Daniel F. Kramer, age 38, of Rice, Minn., passed away Thursday, August 27, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 4, 1988, to Calvin and Janice (Walz) Kramer.
He married Leah Wagner on Dec. 31, 2012, in McGregor, Iowa. Together, they were raising nine children in the St. Cloud, Minn., area.
Daniel always succeeded at anything he put his mind to. He had an engine that rarely shut off. After achieving a doctorate degree in physical therapy, he found his calling in building his own businesses in financial services and the real estate arena.
He flourished here and cared for his clients deeply. He loved problem solving, writing down his goals, taking risks, and dreaming big. He always emphasized the importance of the five F’s: faith, family, fitness, finance, and freedom, in that order. And looking back on his life, he truly practiced what he preached.
His faith and his family were his greatest assets. Daniel loved spending time with his wife and children especially by traveling and spending time exploring many different state and national parks. He also enjoyed working with them on their 40-acre property and having them tag along and help with some of his real estate projects.
He loved his children and all children. He was always good at making them feel loved and seen. You could often find him playing cribbage, singing, praying an extra rosary, building with his hands, listening to a book on growth, or shooting an imaginary basketball into the hoop for the winning shot. He had a magnetic energy to him that naturally made people gravitate towards him. He loved and trusted Jesus, relentlessly. His faith never wavered. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife Leah; children Maxim, Charlotte, Mamie, Ellis, Matteo, Esme, Jude, Luca, and Leo; parents Calvin and Janice Kramer; 5 brothers Roy, Randy (Anne), Barry (Brigitte), Brad (Jamie), and Thomas (Alaina) Kramer; 5 sisters Sherri (Jon) Carlson, Antonia (Donald) Lenzendorf, Theresa (Aaron) Henderson, Maria Riley, and Catherine Kramer; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sister-in-law Heather Kramer and nephews Benjamin and Simon Kramer and nieces Felicity and Rose Kramer.
A Solemn Requiem High Mass will be Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2026, at 9 a.m. at Century Hall in Wauzeka, WI, with Fr. Augustine Walz officiating. Burial service will be immediately following at the Shanghai Ridge Cemetery with a luncheon following at Father Baer Hall in Eastman, WI . Friends may call at the Garrity Funeral Home on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026, from 3 to 7 p.m. where there will be a rosary at 7 p.m.
