Penny L. Prew, age 60 of Marquette, IA, formerly of Seneca, WI, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2026, at her home in the company of her husband. She was born on October 4, 1966, to Gilbert and Sally (Crisman) Schultz. Penny married Darren Prew on July 26, 2008, on Indian Isle on the Mississippi River between Prairie du Chien, WI and Marquette, IA. Penny worked for several years at Universal Forest Products in Prairie du Chien. She also served as secretary and treasurer for the Falling Rock Walleye Club. Penny loved camping and spending time on the river. She had a “green thumb” and could make any plant or flower thrive. She enjoyed sitting outdoors, decorating her home, and listening to music. She was an avid Packers and Brewers fan. Penny was a compassionate, loving person and friend to all. She is survived by her husband of 18 years Darren; her son Adam (Erin) Gaertner; stepchildren Kyler Doll and Eve, Jennifer Aspenson, Samantha Matlock, and Roy Matlock Jr.; her mother Sally Schultz; 3 sisters Janice (Glen) York, Mary (Gil) Coss, and Laurie (Jerry) Calkins; one brother Ron (Sally) Schultz; father-in-law Pete (Carol) Prew; brother-in-law Marty (Donna) Prew and sister-in-law Andra (Brett) Meana; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Gilbert Schultz; mother-in-law Linda Cook; brother-in-law Howard Calkins; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral Services were Thursday October 15, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel in Prairie du Chien, Pastor Lynn Schreck officiating, with burial in the National Cemetery in Eastman, WI.
