Kathleen A. “Kathi” Swatek, age 83 of Eastman passed away Friday, June 12, 2026, at Prairie Maison in Prairie du Chien.

She was born on August 9, 1942, to Buford and Ann (Lendle) Rowe. She married Wencil Swatek Jr. on November 5, 1960, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Eastman.

Kathi worked at Advanced Transformer in Boscobel for many years.

She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, and decorating cakes.

Kathi’s husband Wencil Swatek Jr. preceded her in death on June 3, 2013, after 52 years of marriage.

She is survived by seven children Carmen (Allan) Mullikin, Deanne (Phil) Mezera, Jeff (Lynn) Swatek, Dave (Paula) Swatek, Dan (Sue) Swatek, Vicki (Pat) Joy, and Jeanna (Cory) Nading; one sister Karen Morovits; one brother David Rowe; brother-in-law Ronnie Trautsch; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was further preceded in death by her parents; sibling Jack Rowe, Arleen Trautsch, and Janice Troutman; grandson Braydyn Nading; sister-in-laws Lillian Rowe and Judy Rowe; and brother-in-law Cy Morovits.

Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, June 16, at 11 a.m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Eastman, Fr. Chinnappan Pelavendran officiating with burial in the church cemetery.
