The Prairie du Chien Blackhawks Football team kicked off the 2026 season with it's annual Charity Bowl last Friday night, August 14. The event began with a meal that included a burger, cheeseburger or brat, baked beans, chips, beverages and dessert for $10 with a portion of the proceeds going to the Coulee Cap Food Pantry. Afterwards the Hawks gave the audience a preview of the 2026 Hawks team with scrimmages against Fennimore, Boscobel and Westby.
Prairie du Chien begins their regular season schedule this Friday night, August 21 against the La Crosse Aquinas Bluegolds at UW-La Crosse's Veterans Memorial Stadium at 7:00 p.m.
