Hornet Tracksters near end of regular season

The Wauzeka-Steuben track team competed in a pair of meets in Viroqua and Boscobel this past week as the postseason nears.

The Hornets began the week at the Blackhawk Invitational in Viroqua last Monday, May 11 with the boys team placing 15th out of 15 teams with no points and the girls team finishing 11th out of 15 teams with 10.0 points. Placing in the top-10 for the Hornets were -

Girls High Jump - 4. Alayna Martin (4-10.00).
Girls Pole Vault - 4. Emma Udelhoven (9-00.00).

The Hornets ended the week at the Sparky Reynolds Invite at Boscobel High School last Friday, May 15. The boys team was 23rd out of 23 teams with no points, while the Hornet girls finished in 19th place with 14.0 points. Placing in the top-10 for the Hornets were -

Girls High Jump - 2. Martin (5-02.00).
Girls Pole Vault - 3. Udelhoven (J8-06.00).

W-S wrapped up the regular season this past Tuesday evening at Kickapoo High School with the Ridge & Valley Conference Championship Meet. The Hornets will compete at the D3 River Ridge Regional Meet on Tuesday, May 26.
